Keith and his 17 year old son Matthew are both members of Ribble Valley Cycle and Racing Club and are also members of the C.T.C. (Cycle Touring Club)

During 2001 Keith decided that to celebrate his 50th. birthday in 2002, he would cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats for charity. Matthew offered to accompany him and the plan was put into operation.

Keith has been cycling since 1980, cycles to work everyday and regularly competes in Time Trials. In the past he has competed in Duathons (run-cycle-run), the 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross and the London Marathon (3.34.26).

Matthew has been racing since 1999, at first in Schoolboy races (under 16) and now as a Junior (under 18). He competes in Criteriums and Time Trials and in 2001 was the Ribble Valley CRC Schoolboy Champion.
