RULES

Listed below are the Rules & Regulations for 2008

All cyclists are welcome to ride the events, but to qualify for the series, riders must be 1st. claim members of one of the following clubs: -

RibbleValley C.R.C.

Preston C.C.

Preston Wh.

Cleveleys R.C.

 Entry fee will be £2.50

 H.Q. - Myerscough College Sports Centre, Bilsborrow

Signing on from 6.00 p.m.

First rider off 7.01 p.m.

Commencing from the first P.E.T.T.S event  the first 30 numbers on the signing on sheet will be reserved for P.E.T.T.S Affiliated club riders only. Signing on will take place from the usual time and Non P.E.T.T.S riders are very welcome to sign on from Number 31 onwards.

All riders must take extreme care whilst riding the event but extra caution should be observed as there has been a new roundabout built on the A6 at Brock. 

The competition is run on a point’s basis. For each event (The Hill Climb and 2 up T/Trial do not count) 100 points are awarded for 1st. place decreasing by 1 point for each subsequent place.

For an event to qualify for points there must be a minimum of 6 riders from P.E.T.T.S. clubs on the signing on sheet. Competitors can ride as many events as they wish and the competition will be determined by their 8 best results.

Riders not completing the required number of events will be eliminated from the final league table and will not be eligible for trophies or contribute towards the team prize.

Prize Categories: - Seniors, Ladies, U14, U16, Juniors, Veterans over 40, Veterans over 50, Veterans over 60, Veterans over 70, Lady Veterans, Mens & Ladies Teams of 3

The category of each competitor is fixed from the first event they ride.

All competitors using the car park should park their vehicles at the top end of the car park and away from the pub.

Note!  - RTTC Regulation 47 - Competitors must ride on the left-hand side of the road except for safe over-taking and when making right hand turns. (i.e. where cycle lanes are marked on the highway, competitors must ride inside the marked area.)
